Training & qualification compliance for MRO

Every sign off,
audit ready.

True North keeps track of who is qualified on which aircraft, sends every training record to an instructor who is qualified to approve it, and logs every change in a way that cannot be altered afterward.

Spreadsheets don't survive an audit

Most repair stations track currency in a shared spreadsheet and a shelf of binders. It works until an auditor asks for proof.

Today

How it usually goes

A column of dates does not stop anyone from signing work on an airframe where recurrent training lapsed last month. Initials on paper do not show who approved the training, or whether the page was changed later. When the audit arrives, someone spends days matching exam scores, OJT entries, and currency dates by hand.

With True North

The record is already there

Who was qualified, on which aircraft type, who approved it, and when it expires. The record is generated on your own form the moment training is signed and written to a log that cannot be edited afterward. There is nothing to assemble before the audit.

A look inside

From a blank form to a finished record

Click through the four steps a single training record goes through.

Step 1 · Configure

Set up your form once

Upload a form you already use, or start with one of ours such as the Qualification & Authorization Record (TN-QA-01), and point each field at the data that fills it. From then on every record prints on your paperwork without anyone retyping it.

Step 2 · Learn

What a trainee sees

Short practice checks that record what the technician knows and how confident they are in it. A wrong answer given with confidence is flagged and retaught instead of being passed on a score.

Step 3 · Approve

A qualified instructor signs

Completed items go to an instructor's queue. The instructor reviews them and signs under their own account. Nobody can approve their own training.

An audit trail that holds up

Every action adds a hashed entry to a log that only grows. When an auditor asks who was qualified and when, the answer is already recorded, including anything that was later revoked or deleted.

The platform

One system, built around how a repair station qualifies people

Every part of the platform produces a record an auditor can ask for.

Qualification by aircraft type

Qualification, certification, exam, and on the job training tracked for each aircraft type. Recurrent items lapse on their own the day they go overdue.

Current Due soon Overdue
Gulfstream G550Citation CJ4King Air 350Challenger 350Embraer E175
One technician, every type they work on, each tracked on its own.

Instructor sign off

Each record is tied to the account of the person who approved it, and that account has to hold the qualification to approve. No one signs off their own work.

Tamper evident records

Each change is hashed and added to the log. Nothing is overwritten, and revoked or deleted entries stay in the chain.

Your forms, filled in the browser

Upload the paperwork your station already uses and map the fields yourself. No bundled forms and nothing locked in.

Understanding, not just completion

The built in training module scores both the answer and how confident the technician was in it, so a lucky guess is not treated as knowledge.

Quality findings feed training

Corrective action findings from the quality system are linked to the training that addresses them, so a repeat finding points straight to the fix.

Controlled documents

SOPs and manuals with the current revision on top and a full history of who changed what, and when, behind it.

Why not a generic LMS

Course completions are not a qualification record

A repair station has to show, for each aircraft type, that the technician who signed the work was qualified and current on the day they signed it.

Generic LMS
One completed or not completed status per course.
The learner marks it done and certifies themselves.
Records can be edited or deleted with no history.
A single passing quiz score, taken once.
True North
Qualification, exam, and on the job training per aircraft type, with currency and automatic lapse.
Every record signed by a qualified approver, never by the trainee.
An append only, hashed trail that keeps revoked and deleted evidence.
Assessment that scores accuracy and confidence together.
Audit readiness

Walk in with the records already in order

When an auditor asks how you knew a technician was qualified the day they signed a task, the answer is one record away.

Employee records

Your people's records, protected

You are trusting us with names, certificate numbers, and training history. Here is exactly how that information is handled, in plain terms.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

Every connection uses HTTPS, and stored data sits on encrypted storage. Nothing travels or rests in the clear.

Only what the job needs

The system stores work identity, certificates, and training records. It does not ask for Social Security numbers, medical details, or home addresses.

Each person sees their own

Access is set by role and by site. A technician sees their own records, a supervisor sees their crew, and quality sees the station.

Nothing changed in silence

Every edit, approval, and deletion is written to a hashed log that only grows. Anyone changing a record leaves a trace that cannot be removed.

Never shared with another shop

Each station runs in its own private instance with its own database. There is no shared pool where one customer's data sits next to another's.

Accounts that resist guessing

Passwords are hashed, repeated failed logins lock the account, and idle sessions expire on their own.

Backed up, and yours to take

Daily backups on hosted plans. You can export every record at any time, and if you leave, your data is deleted on request.

Honest about the limits

No one can truthfully promise an unbreakable system. What we promise is layered protection, a record of every access, and a straight answer if anything ever goes wrong.

Not ready for software?

Start with the forms

The same records as fillable PDFs and an Excel tracker you can put to work this week. Training and qualification records, shift turnovers, quality control, parts and aircraft control, and hangar safety. Add your logo, set your own form numbers, print, and go.

Every kit ships with filled in examples, and the forms map straight into True North when you are ready to move off paper.

Ways to run it & pricing

Own it with or without our help

Three ways to run the same system. Pick the one that fits how your shop handles computers, and change later if you need to.

You own it, we set it up

In your own cloud account

We install it in an online account that belongs to your company, so you hold the keys and the bill. You do not need to know how cloud hosting works. We can keep maintaining it, or hand it off to your IT person.

  • Your account, your data, your control
  • Set up together in about a day
  • We maintain it or your IT does
Fully in house

On your own server

Runs on a computer in your building. Nothing leaves your walls. This one takes hardware, backups, and someone on staff to keep it running, so it suits shops that already have IT support.

  • Records never leave the building
  • Works without depending on outside hosting
  • You supply the hardware and upkeep

One price per station on any of the three, so your whole roster is covered as you hire. The product carries your shop's name and logo, and you can move between options later without losing a record.

  • Per site, not per seat. No climbing license bill as you hire.
  • White labeled. Product name, colors, and logo set per shop.
  • Switch anytime. Start with us running it, take it in house later. Same data, same system.
Tailored to your operation

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Every record belongs to your repair station no matter how it is hosted. If we run it for you, it lives in a private instance that is never shared with another shop, and you can export everything at any time. If it runs in your own cloud account or on your own server, the data never leaves your control.

No. Most shops let us run it. We set it up, keep it updated, back it up, and keep it online. If you want to own the setup, we can install it in a cloud account in your company's name or on a server in your building, and you can change your mind later without losing anything.

It can. There is a built in training module for in house practice, with no outside course links to manage. If you already run an LMS, the qualification and sign off tracking works alongside it.

Yes. Upload any of your forms and map the fields in the browser. If you do not have forms yet, our Part 145 form kits are built to drop straight in. Every shop runs on its own paperwork.

It is white labeled. Set the product name, colors, and logo to match your shop, and set up roles and site scoping for quality, managers, site leads, trainers, and technicians.

Most shops are logging qualifications within days. Setup is loading your roles and sites and mapping your forms. There are no outside integrations to wait on.

See it running on your own paperwork

Bring a form you use today and a tail number you maintain. We will map the fields, log a training event, and route it through instructor approval while you watch the audit trail build.

Hosted by us or run on your own equipment. Either way, the records belong to you.
